Syracuse Regular Decision Class of 2017

Didn’t get an email today, what does this mean???

It means you have to wait even longer!

Thank u!! you are smart!!

Accepted to Newhouse this afternoon!!

3.83 UW GPA
32 ACT
Strong EC’s

didn’t get anything…I thought all colleges have to let you know by April 1?

Accepted to dual program in Newhouse/arts and sciences!!

GPA: 3.87
SAT: 2220 - 680 math, 740 reading, 800 writing
SAT II: 640 biology, 790 literature
Lots of ECs related to what I want to study in Newhouse (e.g. editor of paper, creative director in broadcast studio, took journalism/multimedia electives) so that probably helped, as did the essays

Congrats to everyone and see you in August!

soccerkween when did you get your email?

ACCEPTED! To dual program in Newhouse/iSchool!!!

HMU if u guys r going to Newhouse woooooot

I’ve been lurking this thread before I decided to make an account, and firstly let me tell you, the overly boasting and lack of modesty these people have is ridiculous!!

Secondly, I am someone who submitted their application through common app, only minutes before the deadline and got accepted, so I doubt the time of which your application was submitted, plays a role in the timeliness of your decision.

I just received my acceptance on 3/29/13 to the combined enrollment program at The College of Arts and Sciences and the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science

NO I do not have a high SAT score (I barely broke past 1600) nor do I rank in the top 25% of my class.

Don’t believe that 1st wave acceptance, 2nd wave reject crap because its just BS!!

Know that you have just as good a chance as the next person in this thread no matter how much they “flaunt” their “crappy 2200 SAT” score or there “Poor 3.9 GPA”

Don’t Loose Hope Or Doubt Yourself!!!

Accepted into Spring 2014/waitlisted for Fall 2013. I applied for Newhouse but was accepted into CAS. Anyone know how difficult it’ll be to transfer schools within the university? And how housing or financial aid will be impacted if I enter spring semester? :/

@annie1453 I was accepted to CAS for spring semester 2014 as well

I was accepted into the college of arts and sciences for fall 2013 and have decided to attend. I live in Wasilla, Alaska and was wondering if there was anyone else from Alaska who got accepted and will be attending?

When do most hear about whether or not they were accepted off of the waitlist?

I know everyone keeps saying the 1st wave acceptances 2nd wave rejections 3rd wave waitlists is bs but honestly from everyone I know and most of what I read here that is what I think the majority has been. But I haven’t heard back yet… so what’s the fourth wave? And hopefully final wave because I’m not waiting until mid-april this is ridiculous already. I sent in my app in October, if they wait until Early-mid April just to deny me I’m going to be ****ed. Simply because in my opinion it’s disrespectful to keep students waiting until last minute to tell them if you even want them at your school

I didn’t even curse why did it asterisk me

I got accepted about the first week of March (which was freakishly early). Don’t give up. I had a 1920 SAT, but I scored very low on the math. I have a 3.6, and all AP Classes, so you definitely do not need a 4 to go to SU. They care about your LIFE STORY and your WORK HISTORY a lot. That’s what makes you a human being, not a whole bunch of numbers. Anyone find out today?

i applied early november and havent heard anything yet? aren’t colleges supposed to let you know if you got in by April 1st…this is the only one im waiting on.

Does anyone know of any circumstances where people have received decisions on other days other than Fridays?

I suggest you guys call, my friend called and it turned out her application was incomplete even though myslice said otherwise.

Last year they sent out 3 major waves, all on Fridays:
1st wave all admits.
2nd wave 1/2 admits 1/2 denies
3rd wave some admits, some denies, some waitlist…

Then after that they sent out little tiny waves of admits, denies and waitlists about 2-3 times a week…mostly for people who still needed to complete their application, and JUST got it in. If you haven’t heard yet…go to the website they give you and see if you’re missing anything.
