<p>I got accepted as a freshman. I’m not an international student.
I tried checking “My Financial Aid” over and over again on my myslice account but it’s blank. I think they would let us know if we get any amount of money or not. So we have to wait and see. Anyway I’m gonna call them on Monday and ask them when they’re going to come up with the financial aid decisions.</p>

<p>@mystical… The reason why they would review mine late is because my senior grades didnt come out until february… it was incomplete until feb 10th or something.</p>

can anyone give me some insight into the workload i should be expecting? this is sort of my safety, but on the other hand i quite appreciate the uniqueness of the dual enrollment option; plus newhouse sounds pretty swell… best of luck to everyone awaiting decisions!</p>
<p>@lilmelonred I’ve already submitted my CSS/ Profile and my FAFSA a while ago. And they haven’t asked for anything other than that so i don’t know about the other IDOC packet requirements.</p>
<p>@sadiedog, alright so I was checking my twitter account and looked up syracuse university. I saw a lot of tweets saying “got into syracuse university” and “accepted at SU”. I thought that we should wait till mid march. So I decided to check my yahoo email. I didn’t find anything in my inbox from SU. So I spent the whole day waiting and then I noticed that I have 1 Spam email. I opened the spam tab thinking it will be some sort of creepy inbox, but it was SU’s acceptance letter! So if you guys used your Yahoo! Mail, CHECK YOUR SPAM EMAILS!</p>
<p>@Mysticalkites, I am an American citizen but I have been living overseas for most of my life. I’m not considered international “citizen-wise”, but educational wise, I am kinda.
MY STATS: I have a 3.6 out of 4 GPA, finishing off my senior year with a 3.7. I am on top of my class (rank:1) but I was ranked 3rd when I was in 10th grade. My SATs are kinda low: 1650. I’ve been involved in many extracurricular school activities including: basketball, choir, senior class president & president in 10th grade, president of the debate club, member of the senior year book committee, I was Vice President in 9th and 11th grade, I won many awards in school competitions too. Plus I volunteer at an NGO and I’m their social media manager, and I had a summer job in 2011. My essays were told to be very creative and they’re written with great style. Oh and I’m about to send them my latest achievement. I wrote a book for a competition and I won 1st place on a national level. So I’m going to get my 1st book published! 
I applied for a dual is Advertising and Econ (1st choice) and Econ was my 2nd choice. I guess I didn’t get into newhouse because of my low SATs. Hopefully I’ll transfer or something.

<p>Hey. So I called SU this morning and contacted the financial aid office.
I asked the guy I spoke with about my financial aid and told him that I got accepted but haven’t received my financial aid decision yet. He spoke to the counselor and said that I should expect a letter from them about my financial aid in about 2 weeks or so.
So if you are an American citizen and you still haven’t received your financial aid decision, don’t worry about it. Give it a few weeks.
