What are the “minimum requirements” you refer to @AntyFx? I don’t think it’s this cut and dry at Syracuse. Anyone?

With respect to teacher recommendations, I thought minimum requirements are two academic recommendations and counselor recommendation, which she did submit. Except neither of her recommendations re math or science teachers. Will that just take her out of he pool altogether? They do indicate that her application is complete.

I think it’s safe to say that the next set of acceptances get sent out this Friday, March 28th. It seems like Syracuse is sending them out every couple of Fridays…

I really wish they would just have a set date for all the decisions instead of sending them in waves and extending the decision date back… it’s quite frustrating lol

I was Told that due to the volume of apps they need to stagger the decisions or else the system would crash

can anyone who applied to engineering school, advise regarding whether a recommendation is specifically required from a math or science teacher in order to be considered for engineering school at Syracuse. What happens if you did submit other academic references which are not a math or science teacher and applied to engineering school?

Has anyone heard from Setnor school of music? Specifically for the music education major?

@AntyFx I applied to Engineering School and was accepted. I believe at least one of the letters of recommendation needed to be from a math or science teacher.

Thank you!

@AntyFx To be honest, if your other grades/scores are good, I don’t think it will really matter whether or not you have a letter from a math/science teacher. However, if they are low, that might be an impotant piece for the evaluation team.

Thanks again. I would say they are pretty good but haven’t heard yet, so a little stresses over this.

Son was accepted into VPA Industrial Design program with 12,000 scholarship. Unfortunately, Syracuse is still a little too expensive even with this scholarship especially with the ID program being 5 years.

@MThreeS- Did your son receive his acceptance email today?

No last Friday. I was just getting around to putting on CC

I agree with Ratchg. The rest of the application will probably be more important to admissions counselors.

Son got accepted Mar 19th into Whitman. Stafford loans and work study but no merit aid. His stats were amazing, so it may be because they counted my status as a veteran and assumed I’d pay with my Post-9/11 GI Bill. Since his sister has used most of that, we won’t be able to afford to send him to Syracuse. We entered his intent not to enroll right away so hopefully someone else can get his slot. Not sure if they let in other students on rolling admits.

@baronbvp…Syracuse is way too expensive for us.

Ya who else got into the Bandier program?

daisyduke - did you?

no…havent gotten my email yet…have u heard?

Livvyyy123- i think we should hear today
