Syracuse to Ithaca

Its much cheaper for me to fly to syracuse and I just wanted to know, i'd be coming in Thurs Nov 1st in the evening. What is the best way to get to Ithaca from there? thanks

Airline limo. Will cost you around $55.

flying to syracuse is generally cheaper even if factoring in the "limo" cost. hancock is a much larger airport than ithaca-tompkins

Hmmm... and are the roads safe/reliable wintertime, esp. December time? Don't want to hijack this thread, but we're driving up from NYC in a 4X4 SUV, and we don't know if we're better off flying LGA-ITH on US Airways instead.

if the weather is too dangerous for a 4X4 SUV, you sure as hell wont be able to fly.

nope faulty assumption gomestar. I actually searched online, and Syracuse airport is The best snow plowed airport in the country. It usually closes less than 5 days per year. And my NY roommate tells me that the roads in Winter rarely close.. so the airline limo I need for this Winter Break will still be operating.

One time, returning from Syracuse airport, it was snowing so hard the signs were covered up. Every single traffic sign was covered up by snow. I ended up going on the wrong direction on 85 and it took an hour before I got back on 85 in the right direction.

I also saw a car spin out from the leftmost lane, across the entire highway, and end up around 50 feet off the highway in the snow. This was another time, also on 85 b/w Ithaca and Syracuse.

Fun times...
