I'm currently a first semester freshman at Fordham University Lincoln Center. Long story short, it's not for me. I want a school with a campus and a lot of school spirit (sports, greek life, etc.) Additionally, I love communications. I'm a communications major and after my first class I fell in love. I want to do more with my major. I've researched the Newhouse School at Syracuse and it's one of the top communications school in the country. With that being said, I was wondering what my chances are off getting in. I've decided not to apply as a second semester freshman, because the application would be due in a month and letters of recommendation would be hard to get seeing as I've only known my professors for a short while and they don't have much to go on (not a lot of grades yet). So I'm thinking of applying for fall 2015 as a transfer. I have a 3.5-3.6 gap (all A's & B's). Also I'd love to know some pros and cons of being a transfer at syracuse or any school really/ as well as other schools with good communications programs that I would have a shot at getting into. Any feedback regarding my chances of getting into Syracuse/ experience as a transfer at Syracuse/ any advice you have on the process would be great. Thanks!
