syracuse transfer chances

I am currently a sophmore at a four year university in Ohio. I am applying to transfer to syracuse for spring 07 and want to know what my chances are.

My stats are:

College GPA: 2.93 (not too good, i know, i took too many honors classes)
I am doing way way better this semester, probably gonna get a 3.7 (Don't know if that helps though cuz they won't see it before they make a decision)
--ECs are intramural sports, part of a professional women's finance organization based out of New York. Interned at the Bank of New York this summer.

High School
Ranked 15/600 at a public high school with a 3.6 UW GPA and a 3.9(Weighted)
SAT(old SAT)-730 Math, 630 Verbal

I am applying to their business school (finance). My second choice is International Relations.

I'm currently a sophomore. You seem pretty well qualified. The School of Management is a bit selective, there are some math prerequisites... you should check into that. Also, I might suggest e-mailing the dean. Good luck!

bump.....bump.....

Marmay thats ironic, as I am currently at a 4 year school in Ohio and looking to transfer to Syracuse as well. What school do you go to?

Miami University. It's a great school but it's too far away from home.

can someone please give me more insight into how hard transfer admissions to syracuse are?

i dont think they look at your high school information if your over your first semester when you transfer to syracuse.

I graduated from a 2 year community college and applied to SU for their business school and heard back a week later that I got in. I dont think it is too difficult to get in but the one thing i was shocked about was that they were only going to take like half of my transfer credits so instead of a junior i would be a sophomore. I was definitely not going to lose out on the 2 years of schooling I had just gone through so just make sure you will not be in the same situation. I ended up being accepted to Cornell University in their business program and they took almost all my credits. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the advice. Did you find out about your acceptance online or by mail? Congrats on getting into Cornell.

I got a letter in the mail...thanks

I am sad though because I am such a huge CUSE fan!!!!
