SU has an animation major as part of its Transmedia program, but there is very little discussion about it. Does anyone know much? My S has applied to SU and several other schools for Fall 2015 (RIT, SCAD, MICA, CalArts, Ringling, SAIC, etc). There is plenty on College Confidential and other places about these programs, but oddly little about SU. Any input would be appreciated.
I have also been trying to find some info on this program. It’s the last school my D is waiting to hear from. She was accepted at SAIC, Drexel, and Temple (no animation undergrad there but great BFA program and in-state). We live fairly close (4 hours) so we are planning to go visit if she is accepted. I think decisions come out mid-March. The Visual and Performing Arts program in general at Syracuse is highly regarded which is why my D applied. She is not 100% sure she wants to study animation.
