just got 37800 a year!

Will Merit scholarship $ be posted on Myslice? Is this awarded automatically by Admissions, like other Universities? (according to GPA etc.)
Thanks

All scholarships/other financial aid should be on myslice about a week from now for those who were just accepted. And, yes, I believe admissions committee determines who gets the academic scholarships.

Yeah unsubsidized 5500 not nearly enough. Plus you have to pay it back to cuse once you graduate

Son accepted into Sport management program on 12/16. Essay topic: fantasy baseball. Wondering if gymgirl heard?

yes i heard that same day and got in!

Hey I’m applying undecided. Does that affect my chances of getting in?

Heyy, does anyone know if the college of arts and sciences is at all related to the Maxwell school? I’m gonna be at the college of arts and sciences for political science and it says that classes will be taught by Maxwell professors, and political science is under Maxwell, I’m kind of confused lol

Should we start filing fafsa?

Yes. The sooner, the better!

Hi, this is actually Billy on my Dad’s account. I’m currently a sophomore Political Science student at Syracuse University, so let me give you all the info on the annoyingly complex relationship b/t A&S and Maxwell. Basically, as a PoliSci student in A&S, you are a Maxwell student, but you are not technically one. The reason being, Maxwell is officially only a graduate college, therefore they do not officially admit any undergraduate students. BUT, all your classes are taught by Maxwell professors and all your advisors and offices are in Maxwell buildings. You’re basically a defacto Maxwell student without the title. The good news is SU is slowly transitioning to making Maxwell an undergraduate insitution. Currently, if you are a undergraduate major in a Maxwell Program (i.e. PoliSci, Anthropology, History, etc.) your diploma at graduation will have a fancy little Maxwell emblem on it. Also, you can easily say you are a Maxwell student and the school will basically support you in doing so. So, sorry for the long response, but although SU might say you’re an A&S student, you will be spending much more time interacting with Maxwell faculty than you ever will with A&S people. Hope that helps.

Is anyone confused with some of the stuff showing up on the financial to do list on myslice?

Anyone else not get an acceptance letter in the mail? My daughter just pointed out that she never got one - even though her acceptance email came a month ago.

My son has received two letters. The first arriving soon after the ED email acceptance, the second from Newhouse just last week, a “welcome” letter. I am sure it is fine, but I would call admissions and point it out.

My son got two letters as well – the initial acceptance letter and then one from arts and sciences. I would check with the admissions office and confirm they have your correct mailing address.

Hmmm, that’s a bit disconcerting! We’ll have to contact admissions tomorrow.

Never mind my post… just called her dad and it was mailed to his house. All is good! :)

Any ED students going to April Receptions?
I understand they are primarily for soon to be “accepted RD undecided students”…but wondering if any ED students will go?
