*Syracuse University Class OF 2016: Early Decision Thread*

I also have to finish the financial aid application. My first semester grades didn’t close until the 16th and were sent out last week. I’m just waiting for my MySlice to be updated saying they received my transcript.

I would love if decisions started coming out around Dec. 10-15

What should I do if my grades don’t come out until February, guys?

Talk to the people at SU. Maybe they can just take the grades you’ve gotten so far.

It’s just a progress report though, doesn’t go on your transcript. I’ll email the admission office tonight.

I’d love it too.

Go Syracuse !

If I sent in my CSS profile, am I all set with financial aid for now? Or do I need to send them in my parents’ tax returns?

No, you need to also send in your parents’ federal income tax returns from 2010.

Just refer to your MySlice Financial Aid To Do List, it should have complete mailing instructions listed in there.

I’m hoping that they will be generous with both merit and need based aid to ED applicants. Not only do we get first crack at it, but we are showing that SU is our first choice. Hopefully SU can return the favor.

Yeah this financial aid stuff has been stressing me out too. I can’t wait to get it done. Good thing fafsa isn’t due till February.

I didn’t know the CSS profile was as lengthy as it is.

Yeah it’s so annoying.

The questions on the CSS profile are so crazy! I’m sitting here with my dad now and it’s taking forever!

I know, it is crazy… It seems as if they are trying to do everything in their power to not give you money.

Seems like they’re just trying to get an accurate view of everyone’s financial situation.

everything is officially done – sent in those tax returns

does anyone have any idea when we will find out if we get in?

Also, will we find out on MySlice? Or somewhere else?

We’ll find out around the 15th.
