Hey, there. I was accepted early into the School of Architecture at Syracuse. I was surprised that nobody has started the thread yet, so here it is. Discuss as you may, March 15 isn't too far away!

With that said, best of luck to everyone who applied!

Hi,
I also applied to Syracuse University for architect.
When did u receive the acceptance form? by e-mail or by mail?
Thanks And congrats on your acceptance :D

I was in the first wave for ED Notifications, so it was on December 16. You get an email telling you that they made a decision with a link below that directs you to a new tab with what is the official letter with your decision. You get a letter in the mail with the exact message a few weeks later.

And thanks, good luck with Architecture yourself!

My daughter went on to Myslice and can now see an “Application Acceptance” link. She hasn’t received an acceptance email or letter but I’m guessing (hoping) this means she’s in?

BTW - also from California and she applied to Newhouse - excitement abounds.

^ What happens when she takes the link for “Admission Acceptance Form”? My son has had this link for some time now. When he clicks on the link it says " This page is currently unavailable for your use". Doesn’t everyone have this link? Good luck to your daughter!

We got the same message as you. At first we thought either it was an issue with our computer or too much traffic on the site. We rationalized that they wouldn’t show an “Admissions Acceptance” link to someone who hadn’t been accepted. I see now that this has been an issue of confusion for a few years. Curious that they havent worked out better wording, timing or some sort of better clarity.

Having said that - it seems most schools have issues streaming information through different conduits in an organized manner. Of the 6 shcools she has already been accepted to, only Rutgers and Ohio University EW Scripps) acceptances happened in a way that I would have expected - A “Congratulations” email from Rutgers and a “Congratulations” letter from UO. The others have been from “admissions acceptance” links popping up or even housing information being sent.

Your daughter will receive an email with a link to an admissions decision letter. If accepted, shortly thereafter she will also be able to view the acceptance link and her financial aid package via myslice. I was pleased with how it was done. Better than Marist where she ran to the mailbox every day looking for a letter… They don’t notify via email.

Hello, nice to join in on the conversation.

I’ve been waiting for a Syracuse RD thread so thanks coaster!

I’m an applicant to the College of Arts and Sciences. I’ve always had the acceptance link so no hint dropped there.

Myslice still says that they’re missing my 1st semester grades even though I sent them in over a month ago. But I’ve called the admissions office several times and they just keep saying “we have a lot of application materials were still sorting through”.

A little over a month away now. Have any of you visited Syracuse yet?

@sd9066 we had no problem with it being there, but i can see how the presence of the link could be confusing. Perhaps they should remove it from the main myslice page and just embed a link in the acceptance letter. Better yet… Once a student is accepted, SU could add the link to the “to do” section on myslice. I really like that to do section… Keeps us on track with deadlines.
