<p>Oh BU seems great! But being close to home is always a plus. I’m a Public Relations major at San Jose State in CA and applied for Newhouse. I’m from So Cal so going to Syracuse would mean being across the nation from my family, but I absolutely love the East Coast!</p>

<p>Is everybody waiting to hear about transfer applications? I’ve not yet heard about my regular application (HS Sr). I’m getting nervouse since all my other schools have responded. Fortunately, I have some other really good choices. I’m not feeling too positive about Syracuse leaving “admits” for a week beyond all other schools’ acceptances. It doesn’t seem it would serve them well,either! It’s unbelievably annoying/frustrating to the applicants, though! Why can’t they seem to get it together when so many other schools, even bigger ones, have this process down !!!</p>
<p>I agree with all of you that this wave thing is awful! But they are sending acceptances and even scholarships in all waves it seems. My son was accepted to Newhouse, and got a scholarship. Don’t give up hope!</p>

<p>I talked to an admissions counselor and I was told that they were just looking over transfer applicants applications. I am a freshmen in college and I am looking to transfer for next fall they told me in order for them to reach a decision I need to wait until my spring semester transcript can be sent to Syracuse. So that means I have to wait until the end of May/beginning of June to find out if I going to Syracuse.

<p>i dont think thats true. Im a transfer student and called earliar this month and they told me i would know around the end of march. Also some transfer students have already heard back. Theyre probably just reviewing most transfers for last.</p>
<p>I am a transfer and heard back in the first wave of decision notification. I applied after the deadline but it was only by about a month.</p>
<p>I got accepted to Syracuse University’s David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics, Nutrition Science program. However that is not my first choice program, and I’m neither considering to major in that. I want to major in Exercise Science</p>
<p>So my question is, is it possible to accept Syracuse’s offer of admission and change into the program I want to do?</p>
<p>I still haven’t heard back yet… I’m getting pretty nervous. Does anyone know when they expect to release all of the admission statuses for undergrad (non-transfers) applicants? Has anyone been rejected yet?</p>
<p>Honestly, I think this is ridiculous and rude of them. You guys have to make decisions in less than a month and they are cutting into your time to make that decision. I would email an admissions counselor and express your concern. That would be the best way to get some answers.</p>

I think you wouldn’t have any problem changing into the program you want. I was accepted into the Art History program in CAS and have already begun speaking to people at Falk because I hope to transfer into that school. They did say, however, that essentially nothing can be done until I actually am there in person in the fall. I really don’t see how it would be a problem though.</p>
