*Syracuse University Class of 2016: Regular Decision Thread*

^^these are international people; relax…either next Friday (the 9th) or the following one (the 16th), the waves will start…

4:30 pm or thereabouts…

To clear any confusion, international applicants are notified before domestic applicants. Most of you will find out your decision Friday, the 16th, if not next Friday.

Accepted to School of Architecture RD!!

(oh and I’m an international applicant)

is there a facebook group yet for class of 2017 architecture students?

Just thought I’d let you all know that I spoke with an admissions officer and he said the first wave of decisions will be released Friday, March 16th

^ That’s some great news, I hope I’ll be in the first wave!

I called admissions to double check that I had everything. When she pulled up my file, her voice shot up in excitement as she said “Ahhh Richard!” I hope that’s a good sign :stuck_out_tongue: Hahahah

Can’t wait to find out! It better be next week! Hahaha

Accepted!!

International Student, Asian
GPA: 3.85 out of 4.0
SAT: Combined 1900
TOEFL: 106 our of 120
School: Whitman School of Management

Got outstanding extracurricular records, leadership, recommendations…I’m pretty sure that Syracuse was among one of my safeties.

Cheers everybody!!

BTW does anyone here live in Syracuse know about the weather currently? Heard that there is always an annoying winter-spring period. :p

Does anyone know if there is any possibility of decisions being released tomorrow?

The admissions officer was very specific when he said it would be released March 16th. He didn’t even have to think about it he immediately blurted out that date, so it’s obviously a thoroughly discussed and specific date to be released.

Okay so March 16th, friday, around 4:30. Just check myslice around then? or an email?what do we expect on our myslice accounts? what links should we click?

You should be expecting an email sometime between 1:30 PM-2:00 PM PDT/4:30 PM-5:00 PM EST (I received mine at 1:58 PM PDT). The email just says that they have reached a decision and to click on the link at the bottom of the message that will redirect you to a new tab that has your acceptance/rejection letter.

You do not go onto MySlice to see your status.

Please note that decisions are released in waves. If you aren’t in the first wave, that does not mean you’re rejected. Waves contain both acceptances and rejections. I know this is reiterated, but it is just to emphasize and clarify it.

Good luck, everyone. :)

I am a transfer student.

And I applied by deadline Jan. 1

Today, I received an email about my transfer credits. The lady informed me that I had been admitted to Syracuse, SI Newhouse. She was doing something about my transfer credits and needed my current classes information.

So…it wasn’t an official acceptance letter, but I’m maybe thinking this is a good sign?

Does anyone know when transfers usually hear back?

Oh, and I am not an international student.

can you help me figure out this…when i log in my slice and click on financial aid, i see the year 2013, and said " you have no financial award at this time"…does that mean i am admitted? does anybody has the same ? I applied regular decision to the school of engeneering…

^No that is just the standard message. Same as when you click on the “admissions acceptance form” and it says “this page is not yet available for your use”.

I checked my financial aid and it has the same message as yours and I applied to CAS RD

i got that only yesterday

Really? Well I haven’t checked the financial aid linktil today. Hm. Now you’ve got me thinking haha maybe a slight hint?

yeah…it was not ther for the last 3 months until last night…
