<p>I applied ED too! I’m so nervous !! i really hope I get in its my dream. the person who said we will hear back by maybe the 14th…that’s scary. I’m terrrrified</p>
<p>I can barely sleep anymore because I’m so anxious. Like this school seriously is my dream and I really don’t think I’m gonna get in. I wish they had like average gpas for people going to VPA communications. My interview went really well though. I basically just went on about how much I loved the school and my interviewer was so sweet.</p>

Yep, Buffalo! I had mine at 1:30, when was yours? I have a feeling we might have had the same interviewer, because mine was the sweetest lady ever! I’m actually really lucky because once I arrived I realized I’d left my transcript at home, so I was completely panicking, but my interviewer never ended up asking for it. And the girl who was waiting next to me was asked for her transcript before even entering the room–I definitely dodged a bullet there…That would have been a really bad first impression!</p>
<p>@jcbuffalo I didn’t have one either… when I set up my interview they didn’t tell me to bring one. But I had just gotten my report card in the mail so I brought that. I had mine at 245! She didn’t ask for it but when she asked what courses I was taking I just gave her my report card. But now I’m not sure if that’ll get to admissions because it says I’m still missing my 1st quarter grades. We probably did have the same woman… ahahah</p>

That’s strange…A week or two after I submitted my app ,which was Nov. 15th, my guidance counselor told me that SU called her and requested my first quarter grades. Maybe your guidance counselor should give admissions a call.</p>
<p>I submitted my CSS Profile a day late, and the NCP part was two days late…I’m hoping this isn’t too terrible!</p>
<p>I handed my CSS like the day before. Sent in my tax forms the next day and the CSS says its completed but the forms say they still haven’t gotten them. Also i don’t have a non custodial parent so I emailed them last week about a waiver form and still haven’t gotten a response so I hope I don’t get penalized in any way :/</p>

I had a great essay and really good teacher recommendations. I even got one from my principal who was my principal all middle school and ended up as our new principal my senior year.
Tons of EC’s and volunteering.
Leadership positions in 4 out of 9 clubs.
Interview went really well.</p>
<p>I’m really stressed because they haven’t received my 1st quarter grades which were sent TWICE exactly one month ago… Me and my counselor called the school yesterday and they said since it was sent in by mail, it might be taking a while, but I honestly don’t think it should be taking up more than a month? That’s the only thing I’m missing.</p>
<p>Also, I thought FASFA didn’t get sent in until like January or so? They told me for ED they only needed the 2011 tax forms and CSS…</p>

<p>Congrats! I got accepted into Campbell University (wayyy safety school) and St. Louis University. Still waiting to hear from Tulane, NC State, and UNC Wilmington and of course Syracuse :)</p>
<p>Hey everyone! I’m so happy i found this thread! I have applied for early decision Syracuse!!! I went to go visit in November and had the best time ever! I love this school so much I pray that I get accepted!! Being accepted to Syracuse University would be like candy canes on Christmas, just so perfect! I got an 1150 out of 1600 on my SAT and a 26 on my ACT, however, I only sent my ACT. I was just wondering when do they start to send out response letters? Will we all find out by January 1st? I am determined to major in Communication Sciences and Disorders, let me know if you have similar interest!! My GPA is a 3.5, however, i take all IB and advanced classes and have challenged myself to receiving the IB diploma. Along with my high school classes, I took a communications class at the University of Maryland over the summer where i received an A as my grade and will now HOPEFULLY be able to attend Syracuse with 3 college credits.</p>
<p>Also, did everyone send their first quarter grades? I live on Long Island and my town got hit pretty bad from the storm, we were out of school and powerless for two weeks. Of course those two weeks fell on the last two weeks of the quarter, meaning we never had our quarterly tests or anything to help boost up our grades or to hand in missing work. Needless to say, my first quarter grades are on the rocks. Mid 80’s. Do I have to send them in if admissions hasn’t asked me yet? I hope this doesn’t effect my chances of being accepted too much, I am so in love with this school! After i stayed at Syracuse, I just decided not to apply to three other schools because I lost interest and I knew they would not compare.</p>
<p>I’m so happy to get into my first school, at least I know I wont be attending the community college all of my peers will most likely be attending… I’ve also applied to Penn State (huge reach but free application so why not), pace, st johns, and of course cuse. I’m also going to apply to unlv, suny albany, and suny fred.
@becca I just sent in my first marking period grades 2 days ago so don’t worry about it. They understand how hurricane sandy affected everyone (they pushed back ED date to dec 1 cause of it), so I’m sure you’ll be fine. They didn’t even call and ask my school. I’m sure if your guidance department called admissions and explained they’d understand.They do acceptances in “waves”, the first wave goes out dec 14 and second one should go out the 21. This isn’t “confirmed” but from past years that’s how it usually goes for Cuse.
I feel the same way about Syracuse! I kept gushing about it to my interviewer… she probably thought I was insane.</p>
<p>I just mailed my grades in the other day. The First Quarter Grades came off my missing application material on My Slice earlier today so I’m really happy about that. Just an FYI I emailed admissions and told them that I sent them in a week ago and at the time they still had not received my grades, they emailed me back saying that unless they have those they won’t even touch your application. Its not a make or break, the only thing I could think of is that they want to reward you for having EVERYTHING they need in on time and as a result let you know in the first wave. If you don’t have them in by the 14th chances are they’ll put you in the second wave. My guidance counselor was baffled that I had to send Quarter grades and not semester grades, like I said, its no big deal.</p>
