Congrats to those above how have been accepted ED2.
However, the simple fact that some ED1 applicants have yet to hear results, while they are notifying ED2 candidates already indicates that Syracuse is playing pretty fast and loose with the entire ED1/ED2 process.
Basically what they are doing is holding back notifications of some ED1 applications until they can get a look at the ED2 pool. This effectively means that:
Some ED1 candidates have now lost their options to apply ED2 elsewhere.
These ED1 candidates are competing against ED2 candidates.

Not sure if I am going to choose cuse yet , I want to hear back from U Miami and a few other schools first
But if I go, hope to see you guys at cuse!
No, they don’t. If anythibg as a ED applicant they should give more, a lot more! I’m shocked that they only gave you 3k. Did you fill in your CSS Profile correctly ? My counselor said one extra 0 inputted by accident on the Profile can be the the difference between you getting 3k than 30k in the end. I would call the Financial Aid office and get it all sorted out. My family is low income too btw. Hopefully it was a mistake and you’ll get more !!! I haven’t received my package yet, but it should be coming in the next few days. I’ll post it on here when I get it. Sorry for the late response, my college confidential app been acting stupid the past couple of days
@kkb2015 Thank you, I spoke to the financial aid office and filed an appeal so hopefully it works and they give me a better financial aid package.
You should call the financial aid office and see what’s the delay with your financial aid package because February 15 is soon approaching and you are going to need your package to make your final decision.
@kkb2015 He said engineering learning community is in shaw hall, he doesn’t know much about it. The guy I had my addmission interview with told me living in learning community is helpful when you need help with homework or class assignment to be around people taking same classes as you. He also told me that your going to see the same people in your classes and dorm so you may get tired of seeing the same faces.
@kkb2015 I accepted my offer the day I got accepted! The deposit all together is $950, I believe. And the housing application is available through MySlice once you commit to your acceptance.
Dear SU Class of 2019 - Congrats! Syracuse is a great school and I am so excited for you all to experience it! I am the VP of Communications at our Hillel Jewish Student Union on campus, and want to inform you of a fantastic pre-orientation program we do for all freshman (you don’t have to be jewish!) called FreshFest. The program is a great way to get to campus early (before the chaos, and to pick the better side of your dorm room), instantly make great friends, learn about SU, do fun activities and get to know wonderful upperclassmen who are great mentors! If you want to know more please feel free to contact me here or my e-mail lsweisbe@syr.edu, or look at our website below! Hope to see you there!
