I also applied ED to Newhouse. It’s my dream school and I’m 100% freaking out right now.
I have a 3.9 unweighted GPA, taken a total of 5 AP courses, had two jobs, volunteered at a therapeutic horseback riding center, am PR Officer of my school’s poetry club (seeing as my school doesn’t have a school paper). Everyone on here seems so qualified, I feel like I barely have a chance regardless of my GPA. I also got a 28 on my ACT (not an awesome tester). What worries me is the fact that I don’t have a crazy amount of volunteer hours (I took jobs so I could pay for my extracurricular hobbies), and that my high school isn’t super high ranked. I’m just hoping that if I don’t get into Newhouse I get into Arts and Sciences. I fell in love with Cuse the second I walked on campus and had an amazing interview when I visited. I’m just hoping the guy who interviewed me remembers me and can vouch in my favor. Good luck to everyone! It seems like everyone deserves to get in. Can’t wait to see when people start getting responses. May the odds be ever in your favor ;)

I applied to the college of arts and sciences for early decision and I think the first wave of decisions will come in the next couple of weeks

Well like others, I have not heard from SU but I got my acceptance letter yesterday from one of my backups. St. John Fisher in Rochester NY. Haven’t applied for FA yet but they also notified be if be receiving a trustees scholarship. Nice to have something in hand. Sent me a cool school banner too.

did anyone apply to the education school?

Did anyone else receive a flag in the mail from SU about a week and a half ago?

I applied to Whitman ED. I have a 3.2/4 unweighted. 27 ACT. I started and still run a business today which has earned tens of thousands of dollers. I go to one of the top 3 public schools in Maryland. I played football for three years and was a captain my sophomore year. I am the technical director for my schools TV show for past two years. I went and had a admissions interview and also interviewed with a recruiter for Whitman in which both went really well. Essay is strong as it talks about my business. Recs are strong as well. Hoping for the best and good luck to everyone!

I applied to the education school! I’m doing elementary education!

I have a friend who called just now. Decisions are being released mid to late December

@Emdann gahhh! I hate that there’s no date… That just makes for even moreeee anxiety!!

My gut feeling is still telling me they’ll be out this week and at the latest Friday.

I just called and they said in the next few weeks… I think its going to be the 15th… The date they said to me after my interview…

I just spoke with someone who is apart of the decision process of all of the applications and he said that they are going to start going out within the next ten days.

Aren’t the admission waves Fridays though? So wouldn’t it be the 19th (Friday after the 15th)?

@whatabout

Did anyone else receive a flag in the mail from SU about a week and a half ago?

@court1125 How did you get in touch with someone part of decisions? Are you 100% sure they said within the next 10 days?.. Thats like saying between now and basically the 15th… Gahhhhh

Ahh… Just found something on Syracuse’s “Summer Start” program website (something I’ve been considering doing if I get in) that could give us a better sense of things…

The website (http://summer.syr.edu/) was just updated to reflect Fall 2015 and says quote “A list of tentative Summer 2015 class offerings will be available on the web December 23.”

So… I’d say if they’re gearing up to release information for newly admitted students on the 23rd, we will surely hear before then

My friend goes to a private school in my area who is applying to Cuse… her counselor has been in talks with the director of admissions who said that most of the decisions are being released this Friday after 3pm

I know I’m really late on posting this but I applied ED to the Bandier program.
My GPA isn’t all that great but my high school is pretty well ranked and I’ve taken a lot of APs and my ACT score is really good (in my opinion). The Bandier program is so selective though! Good luck to everyone and I really hope we do find out Friday!

I would have thought that it would be a friday, but they specifically said the 15th, so who knows @valadez146
