Syracuse University (Newhouse) Chances?

I'm a senior at a prestigious New Jersey public school and I recently applied Early-Decision to Newhouse in Syracuse as part of their Multimedia Journalism major. Here are my stats:

GPA (unweighted): 3.5
GPA (weighted): 3.9
SAT (superscored): 2150
ACT: 28
Two strong teacher recommendations

Extracurricular experience:
- Worked for my high school radio station for 4 years and eventually rose to two leadership positions (experience with newscasts, sports broadcasting, and DJ-ing)
- Helped produce content for my high school television station
- Formed a club that created two film festivals to benefit a local school for autistic youth. We raised a total of $5,500
- Volunteered with autistic individuals at a local YMCA-esque establishment
- Took a course at the University of Maryland-College Park during the Summer of 2011 covering multimedia reporting. Our class used blogs, Facebook, and Twitter to cover an Obama Town Hall Conference that took place during the course of the three weeks.
- Interned at a New York City urban affairs magazine called City Limits that allowed me to explore the world of investigative reporting.

You’ll get in. By the way, I wouldn’t send in the ACT score.

Nah, you can send in the ACT…it’s not bad. Besides if the consider your SAT better they’ll just throw out your ACT, and go just off your SAT.

Make sure you mention why you want to go to Newhouse in your application somewhere.
