I just wanted to ask if anyone knows how good the bioengineering program is or engineering is general.

Hi, my son is in the engineering program. He likes it. It’s hard but he is doing well. He just completed a project that was interesting. There’s a lot of support in the department, study groups.
@tripletmom33 …if you go to the waitlisted thread that was earlier created in these posts here, I’ve moved over there to make posts. It’s been a real let down for the twins. They thought for sure they would have had a definitive answer yesterday. You’re right… its a roller coaster ride of emotions for not only the students but for the parents as well…angry, depressed, mixed with optimism of hope. My D applied August 15 and my S around August 30th. I would have thought when RD started, they would have reviewed in order of submission and received a little extra recognition for promptness and being early; but, that doesn’t seem to matter. Both of my kids sacrificed a part of their summer to work on all of their college apps. I looked at prep scholar on the internet and found that Drexel University and Purdue University are harder to equivalent in acceptances and my twins were accepted to both of these schools among others. We’re going to spend the next few weeks visiting and re-visiting these schools as well as others to finalize our decision if we’re going to continue to wait for Syracuse or move on. Frustrating, very frustrating. Should be a law that all colleges must inform their applicants with final decisions by March 15th or 30th at the latest. Have students submit applications with earlier deadlines if they don’t have enough time to review adequately and respond in a timely manner. One thing I do know, is although my twins don’t have the highest GPAs, they are hard workers and focused like a laser when they find their passion and niche which I know will lead to their success wherever they decide to go. Numbers aren’t everything.

My son still has heard nothing, I called admissions this morning and they told me his application just went in for review and that it could be another few days. We are so disappointed.

My son still has not heard, his college counselor called Syracuse and they said it’s in his email. It’s not there. I’m ready to scream!
When I called admissions they said to check SPAM, because they are sending out so many notices at once some providers think they are spam.
Are there still acceptance letters going out, or is it just wait listed and denied at this point?
@kenzielouwho I’m not entirely sure, but I assume that means that you’re just waitlisted in general. The Discovery Program is only open to incoming CAS students so you it’s implied that you were waitlisted for CAS.
I haven’t seen a lot from SOE so we’re hoping the acceptances aren’t done yet.
Hi. I have not heard back from Syracuse yet (although I heard HEOP students hear back much later). Can anyone tell me if 2017 Syracuse showing up in my financial aid list is a good sign? My friend (not HEOP) had 2016-2017 and she got waitlisted. Also HEOP office said that “I’m good to go” when I called. Any indication of what this means?
@naya123 The way that your information is listed is correct. I’m a freshman this year and my finaid says 2016. That just means 2015-2016–this current school year. What yours says means 2016-2017.
We still have not received an answer from Syracuse. Is it normal for a school to respond so late?? Is this typical of Syracuse?

There was a posting on : Syracuse regular decision 2020 (& : 2021) that stated they called and were told they would be sending out the last emails from today thru next Friday.
