I decided I’d start this thread just in case there are any other prospective transfers interested in communicating during the wait. It doesn’t look like there was much activity on last year’s thread, but here it is.
Major: Newhouse Advertising
Year: Sophomore (44 credits)
Transferring from: Currently unenrolled, I went to an OOS CC during my first year and then transferred to Southern Cal, but
I had to leave SC because of multiple reasons (wanted to come back east anyways).
GPA: 3.69 cumulative
Reason for transferring: USC didn’t work out, and I really want to go into Advertising, but specifically in NYC. Syracuse
seems like a pretty good place to be with that goal in mind.
EC’s: Some part time work, but that’s it–lots of reasons for lack of involvement that I won’t dive into here.
Other schools applying to: BU, UNC
CCC: SMC (community college)
Major: Political Science
GPA: 3.6
Major Gpa: 4.00
Degree: AA-T Political Science (Spring 2019)
EC: Law pathway program, Scholars Program, Phi Theta Kappa, Young Democratic Socialists of America
Awards: Deans Honors List
Applying: NYU, Syracuse, Fordham, LMU(accepted), BU, George Washington
I just got my acceptance today to the Martin J. Whitman School of Management!
I am a current freshman at a local CC with a GPA of 3.8 and my major is finance.
I am a freshman at another university and was accepted to the College of Arts and Sciences as “Undecided”, but I didn’t get into my top two choices (1. Whitman and 2. Falk). I was admitted to Whitman for the fall of 2018 but chose not to attend. Is there any possibility I would be able to transfer from the College of Arts/Sciences into Whitman or Falk in the future?
@syjabalx7377 I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to, I don’t believe it’s unreasonably difficult to get into Whitman. When did you receive your decision?
I was just accepted to Falk for Social Work. I’m transferring in as a Junior from Onondaga Community College (also in Syracuse). Theoretically anyway. I haven’t gotten my financial aid package yet so I’m a little worried about being able to afford it.
