<p>Did anyone who got waitlisted to SU hear from them?
I looked at threads last year and I noticed how the waitlist results come out a bit earlier than usual.</p>
<p>My daughter has not heard anything from them after being waitlisted a few weeks ago. My understanding is that most waitlisted applicants will not hear anything until after May 15. What have you learned? Any idea of the percentage of waitlisted applicants that are eventually accepted?</p>
<p>According to 2011, waitlist results came out from mid-April to late-March. 
And I also heard that it’s hard to get off the waitlist for certain schools at Syracuse, such as Newhouse. Other schools such as CAS are relatively easier since there are a bigger number of applicants with general majors. </p>
<p>Make sure your daughter emails them a letter of continued interest to let them know she really wants to attend (if your daughter wants to, that is)</p>
<p>I found out that I was wait-listed at the end of March. I sent SU an email expressing my continued interest in attending, because it is my top choice. I’m also going to send a few additonal materials for my application.</p>

<p>I got waitlisted also but is it a first come first serve basis. My friend got waitlisted for SUNY New Paltz and the next day she called to register and they said that all spots had been filled already! I don’t want that to happen for syracuse especially being that we don’t know which day they’re going to tell us whether or not we got in :(</p>

I emailed them yesterday and they replied</p>
<p>“At this time we are still finalizing the class. We will be able to notify you about whether we can or cannot offer you a place in our fall class within the next few weeks.”</p>
<p>and I also called them, and they said if they deny you from the waitlist you’re going to get an email anyway. </p>

<p>15th was when they said they would start notifying waitlisted applicants.
probably the latest date will be mid-June.</p>
<p>My Daughter was admitted from the waitlist on May 4th if this helps.</p>
