I've narrowed down my choices on which archiecture program to attend down to CMU and Syracuse. I know they are both good arch. schools and I really cannot decide which one to choose. They are both about the same distance from my home and I liked both campuses. I would like to know specific pros/cons of each school's program and other things such as study abroad options, job placement, etc. If anybody has any input it would be greatly appreciated.

I have also narrowed it down to those two. I visited both this past weekend and I will post the list that I made with the pros and cons of each.

I think ultimately, i will go with my gut feeling.

The technique that has worked for me so far is to make myself believe that I am going to one and see how I feel.

both are great schools. Syracuse is ranked higher though (they are number 4), and have a more rounded program. CMU is more artsy, but still cover all areas, but focus more on the arts.

personally I would go to Syracuse, because I have told my many that it is a great architecture program and I liked the campus when I visited (I ended up going to ND instead though for other reasons).

i realize that you probably do not have time to visit each school, but go online and look at the curriculum and try to find things to read about the culture of each schools.

thanks for the advice guys. futurearchitect, i just visited Syracuse, but i didn’t get a chance to visit CMU, what is your opinion of their campus and arch. studios?
