Syracuse vs. SUNY Geneseo (for Business)

Hey,

I got accepted to Syracuse University and SUNY Geneseo. As an undergraduate business student, which university would be more beneficial for me? Finding jobs, academic programs, and everything overall.

As for cost, I pretty much got a full scholarship for both schools so that isn't a problem.

Thanks.
Good luck on your acceptances! :)

Since money is not an issue, Syracuse hands down. Outside of New York State, people think Geneseo is a brand of beer. Syracuse has a good national reputation.

Really? That’s good to know. I’ve heard a lot of mixed responses, especially, with the acceptance rate for Syracuse being 60% and the acceptance rate for Geneseo being 35%.

Geneseo does have more of a regional reputation but if you plan on attending grad school colleges do know of Geneseo. The business program at Geneseo is strong so you don’t have to worry about that.

The two schools are totally different…large University vs. small liberal arts college.
Public vs. Private, etc. what type of college experience are you looking for?

I went with NYU for graduate school but would not have chose NYU for undergrad. It wasn’t the undergraduate experience I was looking for…

Business is about connections and you can’t beat the alumni network from the 'cuse…

don’t worry about the acceptance rate; remember that is combined for all schools and Whitman is one of the hardest to be accepted to…
