<p>vlines- My son uses his TV as his second monitor. One of his hobbies is to program, he prefers C++. He will be a Electrical Engineer/ Physics double major. I hope he will get to meet your son, it sounds that they have a lot in common, including the “nerdness.”</p>
<p>We bought our daughter the WiFi only iPad 2 as her high school graduation present. She uses it all the time, and it never leaves her side.</p>
<p>She hasn’t branched it into textbooks on it yet. When I researched the textbook apps, the books were considerably cheaper than new books, especially the science ones. Many also have the option that you can purchase individual chapters, so you pay only for the ones you need.</p>
<p>I think that we will see a number of changes in e-text books in the coming years, including more chapters etc. It just makes sense.</p>
