Is there any disadvantages of sending schools the TABS admission?
Like, for example, the essay, I don't have time to write 6 different essays and stuff
And I already got recs from my teacher with TABS, so doe it make any difference?
I see lots of people writing several essays, but I don't think I have any choice.. Can it be bad?

Well at the Secondary School Fair at my school, St. George's on the panel said they prefer their own application, although they will accept the common one.

i think each school prefers their own because the create the questions to their liking and what they want the candidates to reveal.

I think clz is correct. However, if you are faced with either not getting in the application on time or doing the common ap, I think the common ap is the better choice. Call each school to confirm that they will accept it. Not every school on the TABS list will accept every part of the common ap.

Take a close look at the essays you have to write. You will probably find that several are very similar or almost identical. Last year, my son was able to use 2 essays (with some revision) for most of his applications.

I re-read your post. The Teacher Recommendation forms from TABS seem to be standard issue and should not make any difference. At least, the TABS form questions were identical to the Teacher Recommendation form from all the schools my son applied to last year. If anything, it is better to use the TABS form than to present a copy of a form from a rival school.

are printed out forms ok (from their site)? for reccomendations?

I think a printed out form should be fine. Generally, the teacher fills out one form and then makes copies for the other schools and mails them out. Be sure to give the recommender stamped and addressed envelopes for all the schools.

hmm thats a very good point sangzog- good to bring it up.
