Is it possible for someone to have a below 3.0 before the last semester? I have to make up a class that I'll probably get a F on. Even if I get a C on that class, my GPA would be back above 3.0.

So if my final cumulative GPA is over 3.0, TAG should still apply right?

No…one of the essential requirements is that you have that 3.0 at the end of fall.

hm…if that’s the case, how does replacing the grade work? If I take the class a semester after, does affect the F grade that I received? or does it leave that grade, and give you another grade afterwards?

It leaves that grade and you get another, but the UCs will only factor the second grade into your GPA and not the first one–doesn’t matter if it’s higher or lower.

So If I makeup the grade and get a B or A, would that still void the TAG requirement? :S

You MUST have the 3.0 by the end of fall semester…

last question…it seems late-withdrawl (if there’s any) is the only choice for fall 10 TAG.

For winter 11 TAG…is it still the same “3.0 at the end of Fall 09” requirement? or is it different for the '11 TAG?

Lol, what’s your major and what schools are you applying to?

UCSD/UCI with tag :S I applied for the Fall session, but low chem lab% makes me fail the class even though I had 84 overall (counting the low lab)
Applied with structural/civil engineering.

If I just retake the class and get even a C, I will have 3.2-ish.
and with the classes that I will take this spring session, I know I can get my GPA up to 3.5-6 range and I will be done with all of calc (1-4) and physics as well.
