TAG application...listing courses

One of my course i took in Fall 2009 was a non transferable English class, and it does not show up on "Step 3, search for courses"

Do I have to list that class?

yeah my counslor told me to

since the class is not listed what should i do?

You can manually add courses through TAG. In the search box for classes, just type in any random letters, and after the search is done, you have an option to manually add a course.

I directly called the Undergrad Admissions office at both UCD and UCSD. They both told me to manually add the courses even if they are not transferable so that it matches your transcripts exactly

Quick question on topic.

During Spring quarter 2008 at De Anza, I took Math 112 and got an F. Over the summer De Anza changed Math 112 to Math 212. I retook the class to makeup the F in Fall quarter 2008. On my transcript it shows my A in Math 212 overwriting my F in Math 112. Obviously when I put it in the TAG app it does not.

This is not a UC-transferable course and I was planning on just sticking to what my transcript says, even though it lowers my “overall” GPA (from 3.9 to 3.73 =). This is what we’re supposed to do, right? I’m scared that if I change the Spring 2008 course to Math 212 to reflect the updated course number, my TAG will be invalidated.

Does your transcript list both classes (F for 112 and A for 212)? Your situation is pretty iffy. UCs don’t calculate non-transferable into your GPA for admissions purposes, but they might be a little confused with your 112->212 situation. Call the UCs and ask how you’re supposed to go about this just to be safe.

Yeah, it lists MATH 112: F for spring and MATH 212: A for fall. But my De Anza GPA is 4.0 so obviously it overwrote the F. I did call them and they said it was a “technical issue” and had to be asked through the online question system. I submitted my question, but still haven’t heard back. I figure if I don’t hear anything by the 20th, I’ll just make sure it matches my transcript 100% and submit it. Just thought I’d ask on here as well. Thanks!

Since it is not Assist certified then it won’t show up, so like the other posts mentioned just add it manually. The UC’s just want to see what’s going on with your transcript with all courses
