Has anyone from UCSC gotten any replies??

^Nope. They’re taking their sweet time…

I haven’t received anything. It’s only the second day. I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes them 2 weeks.

I got my email from uci today saying that my Tag was successfully submitted! Just gotta maintain that GPA now! :-)

Sent from my SGH-T999 using CC

congrats silvertongues! I hope everybody hears soon too because UCSB and UCI have already posted about it. Shouldn’t be too long though.

Not really sure why everyone is so nervous, the TAG requirements are pretty clear.

UCI and UCSB “officially” approve TAGs after fall grades are submitted. This is a conditional acceptance. In other words as long as you don’t screw up in fall, you’re in!

I TAGGED for Criminology, Law, and Society. On the UC app my backup is Social Ecology. Now, I’m starting to have second thoughts, all of a sudden it became a dream/goal to very, very real. This month is gonna fly by. Are you working on your personal statement? I’m applying to other UC’s…just to see–who knows may be I won’t go to UCI.

Assuming we all keep up the GPA’s, finish the prereq’s (if required), and have the 60 units we should be okay; however, I’ve read that by not turning the required paperwork on time, will cancel a TAG. In fact, Ms. Sun posted that reply. Here’s to hoping our grades are posted on time and our transcripts make it to the UC’s on time!

@UCdrone: ah ok cool! Yeah maybe because it’s something you were aspiring for, you’re now nervous and anxious that something could go wrong. I know I kinda am haha. I will probably apply to others as well, but my intention is in going to UCI so I may just apply to one more school. I was thinking of using the same personal statement as I did last year, except maybe tweak it a bit haha.

Have you met the requirements for UCLA? Does UCSD have your major? You would love La Jolla, and why not apply for a dream school. Last year, I saw people rejected for UCI and got in to UCLA. You obviously have your foot in the door at UCI, why not shoot for that dream school. Check out the UCSD website, I love it! There is so much info, and by that I mean specific.

@UCdrone: UCLA is the epic longshot because I would need to do a supplemental for film and that is ridiculously hard to get into and there’s a whole interview process too. I applied last year, but it didn’t work out haha. UCSD isn’t as good for film because the major is really general there and plus they don’t have the digital art minor that UCI has and I’d really like to get into that! Yeah my sister goes to UCSD and when we dropped her off, it looked really awesome!
I’ll more than likely go to UCI but I’ll try for UCSD as well.

@clamfest:

Get to work on that Supplemental then
Then, I guess it’s off to UCI for the both of us!

Thanks guys, Obama Obama Obama 2012!!

Lol Ramfan we need to beat SF. Thanks for turning this thread political haha #Obama but have not heard back form UCSC yet, hopefully soon.

Yes On Prop 30!! Lol, so does anyone know how long after fall grades are submitted that they will send you an acceptance letter? Or is it the same as the regular application time?

haha all you uci guys might be my room mate if i get in! i couldn’t tag because I just graduated and didnt have 30 units yet. so im praying I get in.

“If you are a transfer applicant, the campuses may notify you anytime between March 1 and May 1. You can refer to each campus’s admissions website for more information about notification.”

good luck ricky! I know it can be done, so hopefully it works out for you. I had a friend who did that and went to UC Davis so it can definitely happen!

MikeyRawks we’re done for!! Our defence sucks :(…and yes Obama/Biden 2012!
