Apparently there was a form I was supposed to sign in September to fulfill the tag agreement with UCSD. Nobody told me about it until this semester, and its already too late.

I have yet to hear back from UCSD, or any of the UC schools I applied to.

Last year, I was accepted into UCSD, and Davis and back then I didn't fill out any tag forms either.

My current standing GPA right now is a 3.2, and I'm an electrical engineering major.

I’m sure all you need to do is submit the TAG application around September and put a check on your UC application…Please correct me if I’m wrong.

alvaroamorin - no it was somewhat lower back then.

CShizzle77 - I didn’t go for 2 reasons. a) I didn’t fill out the FASFA forms so I wasn’t going to get financial aide, therefore I’d have to pay the full tuition out of pocket b) I was slated to get a D in both my Physics and Calc III classes, I retook Physics and I got an A in the fall, I’m retaking Calc III right now, and I have a very solid A in that class as of right now.

Ryan2136 - I did check TAG on my UC application, but I didn’t fill out the form.

I didn’t fill out any forms the first time around when I got accepted into UCSD and Davis, but that was for admissions to the UC schools for Fall of 2010, did they make it a requirement for Fall of 2011?

I read the TAG brochure and it said putting a check box for TAG and IGETC were required, but it didn’t say the TAG application was. So I’m not sure right now.

My first choice was UCSD, now I’m thinking about going to Davis instead because it has a better environment for students.

js…I believe you submit that TAG application beforehand to see if they approve you for their TAG program. If they approved you, then you put that check on your UC application. I think.

You do not NEED the TAG to get in at all, all the TAG does is ‘gaurentee’ you to get in if you fulfill the requirements. But NOT filling out a TAG shouldn’t hurt your chances at all as long as you have a good gpa/etc for your major.
