On my TAG application, I accidentally swapped two classes "In Progress". They are being taken at two community colleges.

It says
Cosumnes River College
Calculus 3 IP
Sacramento City College
Electricity & Magnetism IP

It's suppose to be
Cosumnes River College
Electricity & Magnetism IP
Sacramento City
Calculus 3 IP

It shouldn't matter too much right? They both articulate as the same course at each school and I should be fine if I update it in my UC application?

I’m not sure I sent an email to UCSC yesterday asking a different type of question and they told me that it depends because the information is misrepresented, but to fix it on the UC app and leave a note in the additional comments to why you changed it from the TAG to the UC app.

Hmm hopefully its not too bad. It’s not like I falsified my grades and such. Thanks though!

i just called UCI and they told me the same thing

Yea I know it sucks, I see people saying stuff like dropping with a W and they heard it doesn’t hurt your application, but seeing as how thousands of people apply they are going to use any misrepresentation as you didn’t follow the rules. Mine was I put I attended a college in 2008 but was actually 2007 and another as I attended in September but I actually attended in August. But the information was corrected in my self reported coursework, but it is still “misrepresented.”

Now you guys are making me nervous. Lol. On my UCSB TAG I listed a Business Calculus course as a repeat of another Business Calculus course I failed at another college. Both courses articulate exactly the same, and in fact, two UCSB counselors told me to list it as a repeat. I wrote a note in the additional comments of my TAG saying that the counselors told me to do it, and now I’m writing the same note on my UC app in the additional comments section.

I screwed up big time haha. accidentally put three classes at the wrong schools… but I think I’ll still get in if my tag is jeopardized. The office of admissions at UCI told me that if the courses are the same at the different school, it shouldn’t be a big deal. the guy said “minor mistakes can be reported on the comments section”

by the way, who said your work was “misrepresented”? and did that have a major affect? or you are in the process of applying

the office of admissions said it could be deemed as misrepresented, probably depending on how many qualified applicants they have, As of right now I am still in the process of applying to UCs with the regular app and have not heard from the TAG agreement, so I will actually find out in March or April.

Larinaga, I wouldn’t worry to much about that as long as they both articulate, if I were you I would just send my official transcripts from both schools to one another, get an appointment with a counselor after and have the problem fixed before the final decision in May.

was this for the TAG application? I hope this doesn’t matter too much. As long as the pre-reqs are done and the application is submitted. I think I’ll be fine. and how often do they deny 3.9s?

Yes the tag application as the UC app barley opened. But if you have a 3.9 UC GPA/ Major GPA around the same, you are well qualified to any of the UC’s you apply to. So I wouldn’t worry to much. Although I talked to a UCSB rep and asked why people with high GPA’s get denied from there and they told me they can see which UC’s they apply or the ones you put you are also applying/interested in and if they feel you are applying as a safety school or have a better chance of getting into a top tier college they will reject your admission to give it to someone else who would most likely attend. But I think you have a good chance TAG or not to be accepted to UCI.

I hope the UCI TAG comments on my application does not reduce my chances at high tier UCs.

Same Hoping, I am tagging UCSC as a safety so hope the other schools don’t think I am favoring.
