I've read the TAG requirements again and again.

So online it says you could have attended another school, as long as you are fully enrolled in a CCC at the time of applying for TAG. In my case Fall 2012 (sophomore year).

However, I called transfer office at UCI & the lady just told me that you have to have attended the CCC all two years. Which.. isn't what it seems to say online. Online it says you need 60 units, 30 from a CCC. (UC transferable, and prerequisites for your major) I know sometimes the people providing the information can be wrong.

So which is it? Can I drop out of CSU, go to CCC for second year and be illegible for TAG as long as I have 60 units, no more, no less, prerequisites, 3.0 GPA, UC-transferable courses....?

UCI has so many pre-reqs on the low, sorta reminding me of UCSD.

making me sorta angry.

I don’t think you can have 4 year units @ UCI for TAG.

You cannot TAG with UCI if you have non-CCC coursework, the only exception is if you previously attended a UC and left in good standing.

Refer to the TAG matrix for the most accurate information for all UC TAG: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/counselors/files/ETS11_TAGMatrix_rev070111.pdf

If I met the other TAG requirements, such as GPA and pre-requisites etc etc, and applied as a regular transfer student, would I still be in good standing to be accepted?

Does anyone know this statistic?

This is what I have on UCI:

Major/Alternate Major - Transfer applicants are admitted by major and admit rates are published online at http://www.oir.uci.edu/adm/IA21-fall-transfers-select-yield-by-major.pdf. Most majors will screen for completion of major prerequisites, see [Transfer Admission, Selection and Preparation](<a href=“Academic Resources | Office of Undergraduate Admissions | UCI”>Academic Resources | Office of Undergraduate Admissions | UCI) for more information. Alternate major is considered; however, you must also have the major prerequisites completed (or pick a major that does not screen for prerequisites).

Admission Evaluation - The transfer admission process is focused on academic preparation and grades; personal statement plays a very small role in the application evaluation process. Please keep in mind that many campus-based scholarships will use the personal statement for award consideration. For more information on selection criteria, see [Admission Requirements](http://www.admissions.uci.edu/admissions/admission_requirements.html#transfer). The campus offers Transfer Admission Guarantee; the filing period is in the month of September.

Waitlist Information - ALL applicants who opted-in to be on the waitlist for 2011 were admitted (590 students total).
