<p>UCSB doesn’t release TAG decisions in November. They don’t do anything with TAG until they receive your Fall grades. Maybe you’re referring to UCD. In that case, you’re correct.</p>

<p>I’m also planning on transferring (TAG) to UCSB as an Econ & Accounting major. If I couldn’t get into the major I would be screwed because I have no other options for majors, and I sure as hell wouldn’t want to go back to CC. I’ve been seriously considering going to Santa Cruz instead for it’s Business Management Economics major (Accounting Emphasis), but I haven’t visited the UCSC campus so I can’t really decide yet. You can retake Econ 10a if you fail, but you can’t retake it if you get a C.</p>

<p>I believe if you get a C- or lower you can retake that class and have the new grade count toward your GPA.</p>

<p>FYI: UCR has a better business program than UCSC, and they are known for their undergra biz.
To get in UCI business program, you need at least 3.5 3.6 or more, and you can’t TAG uci for biz admin.</p>

<p>My only issue with UCI’s program was it was still too new. It lacked a finance option which was a huge downside. I would rather go to an established undergrad program with more options. Their grad program is great though and their grad professors teach the undergrad classes so I think it’ll gain traction quickly. It’s already impacted I believe.</p>

<p>Wow you are correct. They must have just added it because I looked at that page a couple months back and it didn’t have finance. This was the thread I got the info from</p>
