Hi. I am currently a student at community college. I am majoring in Chemistry and hoping to transfer in Fall 2013, so I'm trying to take care of all the applications now. I took 2 gen chems, got A in the first one and C in the second one. I know that I am in big trouble, for TAG won't accept a C in Gen Chem, nor the Chemistry department. I really want to transfer to UC, so is there any way, or any chance at all ?

It depends on each school. They all have their own requirements. You should look up the TAG agreement for each school and see if you will qualify. Even if you can’t TAG, you’ll still be accepted if you have IGETC, all your pre-reqs done, and a solid GPA.

I have completed all the IGETC, and pre-reqs by Spring 2013. I have GPA of 3.52. I really want to transfer to UCI, but as I read the TAG and the UC application requirements, a C in Gen Chem 2 is not acceptable. I wonder if there is any UC, beside UCR, does not have this requirement, and does not require all the pre-reqs to be done before Spring semester? Please help. Thank you.

There might be. Like I said, you need to look up the agreements for each individual school. You can do this by going to their website directly, or searching on Google. I would specifically look at Davis, Santa Barbara, and UCSD.
