TAG rejections to UCSD

So... if you had TAG and were rejected from UCSD.

Rejected

GPA: 3.2
Units: 67
IGETC: Completed

Did you… check the box?

Yes, i did. -_-

How is that even possible? Are certain majors not covered under the TAG agreement?

You should call and ask why you were rejected.

You’re not guaranteed a major, but mine wasn’t impacted, AND i would still get admission to the SCHOOL, despite the major. I should be -admitted- that’s the main problem. I was -rejected-

and yes, i plan on calling on monday.

To my knowledge, i’m not the only TAG applicant that was rejected. Perhaps they ****ed up again

3.27
IGETC
TAG
61 units.

hey hey hey, can i join the club? not going to bother calling tho

it’s ok. if there are more TAG people that were rejected, then you might get your acceptance too

TAG. Rejected.

hey mythology, what was your major?

I was gonna make this thread sometime in the future just to see if UCSD rejects people who are TAG’d. I’m pretty surprised, why call it TAG, when people aren’t guaranteed admission!

I have have two friends who both were TAGG’d, with GPA around 3.2, one got accepted and one got rejected (she got a D in Ochem, in fall). Both were Bio majors and Bio is impacted.

economics. yeah well, even if the major is impacted, you still get admission to the SCHOOL

So you aren’t admitted to your major but you are admitted to the school? So how does this work? Do you call them up and notify them of your new major of choice and see if that works out?

i suppose, but i was outright rejected

i tagged and got rejected :(

yeah seriously that must be an error… there was no implication of rejection that i know of besides not fulfilling the simple requirements. maybe it’s an error again? good luck

Alright I sent an e-mail with my concerns and with my classes, IGETC, and all that other jazz. I couldn’t wait until Monday, but I’ll still be calling them.

Tag rejects unite!
