TAG - Spring Plans

I applied for TAG for UCD, UCSB, UCSC, and UCSD. I've received emails from admissions-review@ucop.edu asking me for my spring plans. All of my requirements - 60 units, IGETC, major pre-reqs - will be done by the end of this semester so I don't have a good idea of what I'll be doing in spring. I listed nothing on my TAG.

The last email said that TAG requires a specific plan for spring, and if I couldn't cough up some classes, they'd deny my TAG. I was obviously not aware of this requirement so I emailed them back with courses I sort of think I might take.

Will I be able to send them updates about my plans, or will it matter? I want to cross-enroll with a UC if possible, but I didn't say this because I don't think it's very likely. I also might end up being able to take one of the classes I planned for spring in the winter. I just don't want them to hold me to my answer.

And does the UC app have the same requirement? I swear, I looked at all of the TAG requirements and I didn't see one that said that I had to list specific plans for spring. I'm pretty peeved about this.

what really? i am in the same position. I have not received any emails, yet and i have not seen any requirements for spring plan either.

i am also not taking any courses in the spring 2011 semester and i’ve submitted a tag but received no response. was there a specific school that wanted to know your spring plans?

I should have been more specific; I think it’s only Davis…which is really great since it’s the only campus that has TAG that I’m actually serious about.

I’ve gotten three emails, and only one has specified a campus. This is the first they sent me:

I started freaking out about half-way down so I didn’t notice anything below the link until you guys made me go back and check.

The other two are follow-ups on the open answers I gave. I think I started pushing their buttons because the third one starts to use “I”. (They said, “I must receive specific responses to these questions or will find it necessary to deny your TAG.”)

But I think I’m just being overly sensitive. My mind’s been gone since I started the application process.

At any rate, I’d really appreciate some guidance.

…

So just me?

i believe so. i submitted my tag app to every campus except merced and sc. i am not taking any courses next spring and did not receive any emails questioning what i will be doing next semester

I know it’s been more than 5 days now so I dunno what you did but I’d suggest that you find the number for the rep that’s assigned to your school and call him/her. I was able to get in touch with my rep that way. easier to talk on the phone than communicate thru email

Well, we were just talking about this in another thread actually…

D) CCC enrollment after the TAG is written:
A student must be enrolled full time at the TAG college during the fall, winter or spring term just prior to enrolling at
UC Davis, unless the student is not attending school anywhere that term. Exceptions for part-time enrollment are possible.

http://admissions.ucdavis.edu/tag/cr...ddest=section3</a></p>

Looks like Davis requires you to be enrolled full time in spring semester before you transfer into fall.

Thanks, that looks like the problem. I just hope this doesn’t cause my TAG to be denied!

lol well if i didnt get it then that means i didnt get my TAG
