TAG/UC Admission 2012

So in UC Davis website

UCDavis : Important Dates

they don't have any tips on what to do between may and september. any advice you accepted vets can give me/us on what to do/prepare for this summer?

And could someone kindly explain how the TAG works in quick 21st century early 20's language. Do we do the TAG first then wait for a response then apply?

would be pretty dope to have a sticky for TAG info/questions.

First you apply for the TAG starting September 1st-30th. They will notify you whether or not your TAG was approved and what the conditions to keep your tag is no later than November 15th (they almost all came on the 15th last year). During that time (November 1-30) you should be doing the UC application. You can wait for all your TAG approvals before you submit because you need to check off boxes for which campuses you’re TAG’d for.

how do they notify you?

what is this about signing with my counselor?

Well, I’m not sure if they changed back to the old one. The one I did last year was electronic via https://uctag.universityofcalifornia.edu/index.cfm</a> . I didn’t have to off with my counselor, but you should talk to a TAG counselor at your school before you apply for it.

After you apply, you can check on the status of your TAG, just like your UC app, but you check it all on the same site.

coooool. yeah im on MsSun’s blog looking at her entries last year, and in june she posted TAG launched online July 8th or something.

Yeah, the online TAG is brand-new. That’s why there were a record amount of applicants this year and the highly selective UCs.
