TAG UCD vs UCI Computer Science. Which one?

Hello everyone,

This is probably a bit too late since the last date to file a TAG application is tomorrow, but I'm waiting for your opinions before submitting.
I have already known that UCI is known for its unique CS school status which in every other UCs CS is under the school of engineering. Therefore many people recommend me to go to UCI based on this, apparently. However, many university rankings and people look at UCDavis as more prestigious than UCI in overall, but I don't think this applies for the ranking of the CS program itself. Will this affect my opportunities for internships, job researches or graduate study? (Do people "prefer" at CS bachelors from UCD rather than UCI, or inversely?)

Other than that, I'm also somewhat concerned for the location of both campus. Now I'm currently attending CC in the northern bay area (Silicon Valley) which has a lot of computer and networking companies here. I found that this current location is just right (no crazy traffic, not crowded, etc.). While seeing Irvine is located in suburb of LA and far far away from North Bay, I don't know if it will impact heavily on my studying progress while I'm there.
Note that I haven't visited neither of them even just for once. Those what I've just written is solely based on internet research and people's impressions.

Thank you!

Uci is better for CS but not because if the department. There is Google next to the campus. UCDavis is closer to Silicon Valley so maybe better recruiting for smaller company.

*company should be companies

UCI is by Silicon Beach. UCD is within (a long) commuting distance of the Bay Area, but you still likely won’t be working PT in the Bay Area while attending UCD.
