TAG with excessive Ws

Hi,

I'm currently a student at De Anza college and wants to transfer to UC Santa Cruz and do the Transfer Admission Guarantee. I have more than the minimum required GPA (3.8), 45 quarter units, but I have A LOT of Ws (2 at De Anza and 9 from another College of San Mateo). Will the Ws effect the TAG?

Also is there any way to have Ws removed?

Thank you.

I believe that in order for you to be TAG certified, you have to go through the screening process at your college. If you pass that process and get TAG certified with UCSC, you’ll be fine, that’s a guarantee, as long as you don’t mess up afterwards (I mean really really messed up, like getting an F or sth). And as far as I know, there’s no way you can remove a W. Hope this helps.

i transferred to ucsd with a ton of W’s… TAG as well.

You will be fine. I had 12 Ws and got into UCSD and UCSB on TAG agreements. I also got into UCLA and Cal, so I am going to Cal. Keep your GPA up!!
