Well I've slept through my 8 am history class one too many times and missed a quiz thus dropping my grade by eight points. So now it looks like I am going to end up with a 89 in the course and the subsequent B. I'm a freshmen and wanted advice on whether it would be smarter to simply take the B or drop the course and take the W? I plan on attending law school and am a History major.

I'd try hard to get an A, but if it's between B or withdraw, I'd just take the B.

I second JimmmyEatWorld711.

W implies a C or lower. I'd take the B (B+, if your school does +/-).

um B...

since when did B=bad? I wish i had gotten several more B's in my fist 2 years of school...

I can't believe this question is even being asked. Getting a B in college isn't bad. And really, your willing to withdraw from the class and have to take it again because you will get a B? That's insane.

People will never cease to amaze me.

I'd take the B. You should only do W on emergencies.

I thought this thread was gonna be about bmw's...

Take the B...especially if it's an 89. I know a lot of professors that round 89s up to As.

I'd do anything for a B in some of my classes... and you're talking about withdrawing from a class with one?
