2) MIT- low reach/high match (solid profile and female)
3) Northwestern - Match
4) Williams - ?

10) Duke - high mach/ slight reach

...not sure if yale is the best place for you to ed at though (I'd even consider EDing at Duke, if they have that...?)

The thing is that you're an international student, so while the above chances would be pretty accurate for a US citizen, they're going to be really generous for an international.

I disagree with pdef in that I don't think it's a definite that you will get into places like WashU. I'm not saying that you will not get in, as you have amazing statistics, but whether or not you get in will be influenced majorly by how well you write your essays, as well as a fair bit of luck. The fact is, all of the colleges you have posted are highly competitive schools, and all of them are difficult to get into. No matter what people say on these forums, you will know for sure whether or not you get in only on the day those colleges reply back to you in December or in April, depending on which one you apply early to. I'm probably being vague, but there are no definites at any of these schools (and I'm writing with personal experience), so I wish you good luck, and hopefully you will get into the school that you want.

Oh, and for the record, the ONLY school I think you will definitely be rejected at is UPenn, because Wharton is exceedingly difficult to get into, and you haven't shown any extracurricular interest in business, based on what I see from your posted ECs. The others are all up in the air, but I think you have a decent chance at each of them

Thanks - do you think I will have a better or worse chance than international students living elsewhere? And no, I can't apply as a student from Ohio except for OSU, where I'm considered 'in-state'

i think if you really want to go to yale, your best shot is definitely early decision. the regular decision pool has a TON of smart asian females in orchestra just like you. you're plenty qualified but they obviously can't let all of them in.
1) Yale-low reach ED. reach RD
2) MIT-match
3) Northwestern-match
4) Williams-??
5) U of Chicago-low reach/match
6) WashU in St. Louis-probably waitlisted in the typical WashU fashion
7) Emory-in
8) UPenn: Wharton-reach (everybody)
9) Princeton-reach (but less than Yale)
10) Duke-match

It's because Yale accepts more legacies, URM's, and athletes during the first round, as does any other school with EA. Also, the first wave of applicants tends to be stronger, or at least that's the general consensus. There's a reason why Yale chooses to pick more out of the first (and smaller) pool.

Basically, it's more or less Darwinism. If you're fit and you'd definitely get in during regular decision, why not accept you earlier?

You're an international looking for financial aid, though, so I think that you might not end up with FA packages you're satisfied with considering you would not be an outstanding applicant relative to the applicant pool at any of the schools you are considering right now.

You might want to look into schools like Boston U, Tufts (big on internationals, I hear), George Washington, and URochester, as well as maybe a private in-state alternative to OSU, like Denison, as a safety.
