idk, princeton has this 1 guy who is AMAZING. looking at all the other chance threads on harvard or princeton, im worried im a little "lop-sided"

i dont mean to be harsh , but coaches have said to me that whilst excellence in a club sport shows well roundedness, it will not be considered a hook like those of varsity sports, and will just be considered another EC.

yes, it's true it might not take the varsity sports hook route.
but i think that if he did that much for it, it still shows amazing time and dedication, which they will like.

fred_is, that's not true. if you're truly amazing, it will help a lot. princeton has the second best team in the country. you obviously haven't seen competitive table tennis.

myhommieg, to most people, you look impressive, but to other table tennis players, what you have isn't that big a deal. don't take it personally, but princeton will be able to tell the difference.

well, i never like to talk trash. but ive improved a lot this summer, 1900--> 2300, i'll strut my stuff at las vegas. as to princeton, ehh. table tennis isn't the only thing going for me. but just a curious question though, if one gets in princeton, can he call out adam hugh? i just want to play him, once

if you're really 2300, then it will help you. but going from 1900 to 2300 in 3 months is unheard of. i'm not trying to doubt you, but just letting you know the truth -- unless you're at a certain level, it won't be a hook. but your stats are amazing, so you might get in anyway.

you're from the texas area, and not that many people play there. but here in nj, there are lots of juniors.

footonthehill, i'm not amazing by any means. relax :)

truth is, 2300 right now? im talking trash, lol. more like 2150.
another thing, feels like everyone down in texas plays friggin pips, i get eaten alive.
last time i went around nj to play, i felt amazing cause nobody does there.
come to think of it then, who are you, gxing? am i going to play you? lol. good luck to both of us, hope both of us gets in, so i can meet you and beat adam hugh
