I'm pretty happy with my SAT scores, got a 1440/1600 and a 2130/2400. Just wondering if it's a good idea to take them again and possibly get a lower score or risk it? I also need to get my SAT IIs out of the way so I'm not sure how much time I'll have to study and what-not for the regular SAT again.

Schools I'm thinking of: Cornell, U of Mich, UVA, VA Tech, UIUC.

Great scores - congratulations! There is absolutely no reason to take them again. Get your subject tests out of the way, then start focusing on your personal statements. Good luck!

It depends somewhat on the individual scores. 1440 could be 720 and 720, or 800 and 640. I would not retake with two 720s but it would be tempting to retake the 640. Otherwise your scores are fine for your choices.

We have the same scores and similar distributions lol. If you got QAS for your test date and saw that you should not have made at least 6+ errors that you made, OR you took it in may, you might want to consider re-taking in a month not named May.

Judging from your happiness and high math/cr aggregate you probably don't need to though.

Will colleges think any less because I only took it once? My worry is that if I take it again and possibly get a lower score they will think that the first time was just luck lol (yeah, I don't have much self confidence).
