Take another subject test or retake sat?

So I got a 2260 on my SAT, but I'm fairly confident I can get above 2300 if I study hard. As well, I got 800s on both Math II and Physics, and I am confident I can get an 800 in Chem. I want to either apply EA to Stanford or ED to Columbia, so I only have time to take one test.

Should I bump up my SAT or add another SAT II?

There is no reason to take another Subject Matter test if you have two 800s. To asses whether you should take the SAT again, we would need to know your CR and math scores. A 2260 is high enough for those school, but not all 2260s are equal. What is your CR score and what are your prospects for raising it? It may very well be that your applications would be more strengthened by working on ECs, essays or community service.

Math: 780
CR: 740
Writing: 740 (11 essay)

I feel like I can bump up all those scores with a solid chunk of studying.

I already have nearly 500 hours of community service, the only thing that I really need are EC’s. Where should I start?

@glido

Sorry, but even assuming that Rush had an 800 on W, his M + CR would still be a 1460, which is puts him in perfect range for most top schools.

Thanks for the replies, but I’m still confused as to which test I should take.

Your subjects are good enough, retake the SAT 1 if you’ve only taken it once and know you can improve your score.
