Is it advisable to do the Calc AB test and do the Calc BC class? Would colleges not like that? Math classes at my school basically don't prepare you at all for the AP tests, so it's basically self study. I'm going into sophomore year, so I have junior year to take the Calc BC exam.

Thanks!

What’s the point? If you’re planning on taking the BC exam the following year, save your parents the $89 and don’t take the AB exam. The BC exam includes an AB subscore.

The Calc BC exam includes an AB subscore (unless things have changed since I took the exam). If you’re planning on taking the BC exam later, you might as well just wait and not take the AB exam.

Taking Calc AB gives me another year to prepare for it, AND gives me a 5 for national AP scholar. Should I do this?
