hi guys.
i am going to apply for UCs this coming fall. My counselor suggests that i should take two english courses before fall which means i must take ENG1A or ENG101 this summer. but for this coming summer, it is kind of rash. i will probably end up with B or C. My current GPA is 4.0 with almost 60 units completed. it will definately ruin my 4.0. My goal is to transfer to UCB or UCLA. so
the first question is: can i take ENG1A or ENG101 at fall?
the second question is: will this affect my admission for UCB(econ) or UCLA(bzecon) if i take it at fall (the semester i apply)

thank you for reading this.:) please give me some advice. i have to decide soon.

Definitely don’t let it ruin your GPA! You may take your IGETC requirements until the Spring before you transfer, so don’t worry. Take it easy, keep your grades up and take one course this summer.

thank you Rheel3
i may put some misleading in my topic. those two english courses are both IGETC area 1 (i think) some body told me that you had to complete first one like ENG1A(ENG101) before fall or you will be reject because of uncompleted prerequisite.

^
UCLA and Berkeley are super strict with IGETC, but as long as you have it completed by the spring, you will be fine.

english 1a? do you go to delta?

@UCkittychen
i go to PCC. never attend any other school.

and up.
