Take new or old GRE?

Okay so I'm applying to grad schools next year and I'm debating between whether I should go for the new GRE or the old GRE.

My quantitative skills are better than most people in my department (astrophysics), so I expect a near-800 either way. I do believe, however, that the new GRE might increase the variance in the quantitative section so that there might be fewer people who score near-800 (and I'm thinking that this might work in my advantage). I'm not that sure though.

You can download both PowerPrep (old GRE) and PowerPrep II (new GRE) so that you can assess which one is easier for you.
