I am currently faced in a Dillemma as to should I take the SAT January 25th or on March 8th?

I took Nov. SAT and scored a 1610, Took the December SAT and scored an 1710. My Superscore is a 1730 due to 600 in Writing.
I want to get atleast a 1900-2000 on the SAT, and I dont know if I should take it in January or delay it until March. If I do take it in January 25th, is it possible to score a 2000, given my current stats?

Wait until May. It has significantly lower curve due to the SAT being graded on a bell curve. (smart people take AP’s in May) If you get a 2000 in January, It would be a possible 2100ish in May

I don’t really believe in the whole ‘this month has a better curve than this other month’. It depends on your preparation, the concentration during the test day, etc. Do you think you’ll have enough time to prepare by January 25th? Or can you afford taking it later in March?

Personally, I think the earlier, the better. If you do well, you won’t have to worry about it anymore and if you do poorly, at least you’ll have enough time to restart your self and I guess, prepare more. Honestly, I didn’t think I was ready when I took it but looking back, I did do enough prep and was actually super focused during the test that I did well.

Working hard, I think that you can do it. It really is all about the amount of work that you put into it. If you literally, live SAT until maybe 3 days before, it would definitely be possible.
