Take SAT/ACT again?

i am a student in the process of applying to colleges, i am interested in
NYU
university of chicago
Northwestern
Emory
UC Berkeley
UCLA

my current SAT score is a 2110
and my ACT is a 30

i have taken three subject tests:
us history - 680
math lev. 1 - 690
english lang - 570 :(

i have around a 3.86 ish unweighted gpa
and a 5.352 weighted
ranking of 25 (top 4%)

EC:
NHS member
VP of Spanish Honor Society
Secretary of Stu Co
Leadership class member (limited to 25 people)
Church youth leader
girl scout for 12 years
Secretary of SADD and Class Council

considering all this: which tests should i take again in terms of improving my score to improve my chances at the above schools (not too much time left to take all three, but if necessary i can try =/ )
i want to do as much as i can in terms of scholarship money especially since i hear places like NYU are difficult with financial aid (my dream school!)

thanks for the help ahead of time =)
and if you have any tips please let me know!

Don’t take the SAT and the ACT. Take just the one you think you’d score higher on (Your SAT score is higher that you ACT, so it’d be better take the SAT).

UChicago is pretty competitive, and most kids applying would have 700+ SATIIs. Think about retaking them?

As the post above me ^ said, I would retake the SAT and at least one if not two of the SATII’s, because a 690 in Math I is not looked upon well…

This might sound obvious but it really depends on what you think you can do better on…take a practice test in each and see which one yields better results. As of now I would say your SAT I is better, so you can try it again. What was your score breakdown of you 2110? Remember UChicago and some other schools only look at your Math and Critical Reading composite, and effectively disregard your writing score…

If your wondering whether submitting SAT or ACT looks better, colleges really don’t have a stated preference. Your SATII’s are kind of low, as the above poster said, so I’d suggest maybe taking one or two more (only if you have time), and aim for 700+. But SAT I/ACT are more important in the admissions process than SAT II for sure, so if you don’t have time just make sure you retake the SAT I/ACT. In fact, I think UChicago and perhaps some of the other schools on your list, don’t require SAT IIs (though they will see the scores on your SAT score report if you choose to send that in).
