Take SAT II Math Level 2 After Algebra 2?

Is it possible to do this? My friend wants to register for it but I am trying to talk her out of it considering it says that you need to take Pre-Calc to do it. She says she can do it, but I honestly have no idea. Should she go for it? Anyone know about this test from experience or is going to take it soon?

Nooo she shouldn’t. If you have pre-calc knowledge (and a good work ethic) you have a very good chance of getting an 800. Why give up (a relatively easy) 800? And there’s no rush. I’m taking Pre-Calc this year, and then in june i will take Math II.

no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no!!!

Most people take it after Pre-Calculus, but if she insists and is really good at math she can probably self-study concepts she still hasn’t learned. Just tell her to take it after she has taken a Calculus course.

It really depends on the teacher. I really wish I did this.

With a solid foundation in trig and everything in Algebra 2, it shouldn’t be a problem. A 750+ is definitely possible especially with the generous curve. Why not tell her to try the practice problems on College Board?

^Why would she do that when she can take it after pre calc and virtually guarantee an 800? Your friend is not very smart.
