Take Social Studies Class Over Summer or Online?

I will be a junior next school year and the juniors’ social studies class is mandatory, and is a semester of government and a semester of state history. I’m considering taking this class over the summer (not credit recovery) at my school or online, which isn’t uncommon. I could also take social studies online during the school year, or just take it throughout the school day.

If I take the class over summer, then my social studies class will be Econ/AP Econ, and I’ll have three electives. I still want to take Econ during the school year, and I’m considering taking two social studies classes for it, sacrificing an elective.

Will colleges look down upon taking a class over the summer and/or online? Summer classes are very condensed, and online classes give credit for completing work (colleges won’t know this)

one class isn’t going to impact much-especially social studies-a class that won’t be scrutinized. Getting ahead in math might make much more of a difference.
