Take the act again?

<p>My son took the ACT in 12/09 for first time in his jr year. He got a 30 in both english and reading and a 36 in both math and science. He got an 8 in the writing. No tutoring, just took practise tests on his own.</p>

<p>Composite score -- 33. Should he take the test again, or focus on other things? Do kids just go in and take it without studying again? Different advice from different counselors.</p>

<p>Does he have an intended major yet? Also, has he taken the SAT?</p>
