Taking 22 letter-graded units

Classes are ENV DES 4A, CY PLAN 110, ANTHRO 3AC, ECON 100A, ECON 100B, and LD ARCH 135. I personally think it’s kinda crazy but I’m planning to do a simultaneous degree with architecture and development studies. So I’d like to leave my junior year as free as possible (14 units) for architecture studio work.

I am wondering if this courseload is actually possible. I appreciate any responses!

LD ARCH 135 is a course with studio, so it may be more work than the others. You may also want to find out if any of the others has a large term project.

Anthro 3AC, Econ 100A, and Econ 100B shouldn’t require too much work. 22 units is not that much if you’re not doing STEM

I take it you’re an incoming freshman? sigh Reminds me of myself when I was coming in to Berkeley.

22 units, by any standards, is crazy. Don’t go crazy with your schedules, you’ll end up hating yourself for it. If this is going to be your first semester, then take a max. of 16 units, less if possible.

You can always take summer courses, so don’t kill yourself by taking as many courses as you can now. Do note that Berkeley’s rigor is on a totally different level from high school. It’s important to understand that fully. I highly recommend speaking to an adviser before deciding on your current schedule.
